The man behind this legendary bookstore Mr. Anuj Bahri Malhotra is no less than a real-life hero. He started this bookstore when he had nothing. After the Partition of India, he was forced to leave his ancestral home in Pakistan which is why he came to India with nothing. But with great dreams and the passion for doing something great in life, he opened Bahrisons Booksellers and the rest is history.

Nai Sarak Book Market

This book derives its name from the fact that it was a relatively new and broader road compared to other roads during its time. It was built by the British. This book market is a favorite among Delhiites even today and is perhaps one of the oldest favorite book markets.

Nai Sarak Book market sells anything and everything related to reading and writing. Different books under different genres are available here. Moreover, there is a large variety of stationery available in the market. Moreover, you can sell books here and get a payment of 50% of the original value.

It is very easy to reach the market. All we need to do is use the metro service to Chandni Chowk. From there to Nai Sarak is a distance of around 1 km. Shankar Market

Shankar market, which is one of the oldest local markets in Delhi, boasts a few bookstores that are every book lover’s delights. One of these famous book stores is Ram Gopal Sharma and Sons. This book store allows people to buy at a low cost and even gives regular customers the added advantage of borrowing books. This policy of theirs has made them a fan favorite and this place is always filled with a throng of book lovers.
